I had been considering about the need to write more articles about Lady Gaga. Her positive attitude to latex and wild costumes is clearly obvious, and it’s an indistinguishable part of her image. What news then is it her being spotted on street walking in latex skirt or if she presents her concert show in latex undergarment?

But then she prepares something original and crazy that again makes hordes of journalists to write about her.

This time Gaga appeared at Royal Variety Performance dressed in Atsuko Kudo latex gown inspired by Queen Elizabeth I  style, to perform for the Queen Elizabeth II. As the Daily Mail reported, she arrived on stage in the red dress with a 6 meters long train to close the show. Her makeup, big red circles around eyes, chosen to go with her attire. Then she presented her hit Speechless suspended 3 meters above the floor singing and playing piano.

As the protocol requires after the program in Blackpool’s Opera House ended, Lady Gaga bowed to the Queen.

I am sure she already plans how to draw attention next time.

Obviously, combination of latex and music is becoming the recent trend! You asking me why?

Not long time ago we reported about Lady Gaga’s appearance in a certain London night club.  Recently another singer, this time Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins, was spotted in latex at GAY@Heaven club.

The black latex dress complements the blonde beauty very well.

I am curious who will be the next singer celebrity to wear a latex fetish dress in public?  Your thoughts?

A quick info learned via Atsuko Kudo´s Twitter message reveals the latex designer’s presence at Classic Rock Award 2009.

All who follow Atsuko Kudo on Twitter probably read the news about their recent success news. The tweet said:  “We are dressing 4 ladies who are hosting The Classic Rock Award”. Now that’s a great visibility. And well deserved for all the classy creations of this London based latex company.

On the photo the two of Atsuko Kudo’s lady hosts in their purple dress embraced by members of English heavy metal band Iron Maiden.

The annual Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards took place November 2nd in London at the Park Lane Hotel and featured numerous awards being given many metal and hard rock acts including Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Anvil.

More and more celebrities show up at red carpet occasions in latex, Kelly Brooks is another of them.

Fabulous has launched the sexiest charity campaign in history, Heels That Heal. The idea is to sell high heel shoes of famous people in an eBay auction using the revenue for women’s reproductive and gynae health issues research. And Kelly Brook, the English model and actress signed up for this project.

She shot a couple of posters wearing black latex stockings with transparent PVC coat and black latex dress from Atsuko Kudo.

She also could have been seen in the same dress but different color at GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2009 in September.

The dress is another masterpiece of Atsuko Kudo this time in baby pink color with black floral pattern on it.

GQ hosted some of the biggest names in fashion, film, sport and entertainment at London’s Royal Opera House for its annual Men of the Year Awards. But as even mainstream sites has written “It was Kelly Brook in THAT latex dress that stole the headlines – and turned heads”.

And again she was “caught” in the shiny material.

Lady Gaga had a performance July 4^th 2009 at G-A-Y@Heaven. But not only on stage she was dressed in latex, but in backstage too. That’s the attitude.

For the past year or so in publications such as newspapers, magazines or the internet, you often see a title blur out “X wears latex“, where X is replaced by the name of a hip celebrity. However, on closer investigation, it turns out that more than half the time… it’s not latex at all!  As soon as the garment in question (a legging, most of the time) has even a hint of shine on it, it automatically is labeled “latex”. The question has to be asked: are these reporters misinformed, ignorant or just after a catchy headline? Because latex has appeared in the press more and more over the past few years, it’s become a hit word. The general line of thinking seems to point to: if you want to catch the eye of the reader, use “latex” in the title of your article. Does the catchy headline win the game for these authors? Not entirely. Latex fashion affectionates and fetishists have a tendency to rebuke such false claims, seeing these headlines as misleading.  Further more, they feel it contributes to mal-informing people about the nature of latex clothing. For most people (not active in the fetish scene) the word latex has a strong connotation with “kinky”. So these article headlines lead people to beleive that if the clothes look kinky (i.e. tight and shiny), it must be latex!  This is far from the truth.  In fact, most often than not we see all kinds of shiny materials other than latex appearing in these allegadly “latex articles”: leather, pleather, vinyl, PVC, spandex… So, if you see an article labeled “latex”, take a closer look just to be sure! One article even mistakes a wetsuit for a latex catsuit (neoprene is a synthetic rubber). In the original article, the wetsuit that Paris Hilton is wearing on a diving break is labeled “latex”. Of course technically you could make a diving suit out of latex, I don’t see why not, but this certainly isn’t one of those! On the other hand, when Paris does wear latex (the real stuff) it’s not always picked up correctly. In this article of Paris hosting the opening of the Pussycat Dolls lounge in LA, the dress is mistakenly identified as leather… (more on this opening event in our previous article).  This just goes to show most journalists don’t really pay attention (or don’t care?) to the origin of the clothes these celebrities are wearing.  Then why do they insist on labeling the clothes? The pictures below all came from articles where the clothes were wrongly labeled “latex”.

The super hero movie will hit theaters in 2010. Johansson will also take up the same role in the new “The Avengers” movie, scheduled for 2012. “The Black Widow is the name of a fictional spy character in Marvel Comics universe” (Wikipedia) and its appearances are not limited to one single comic book title.  The original Natalia Romanova (AKA Natasha Romanoff) alter-ego character dates back to April 1964 when she appeared in Tales of Suspense #52. In the new Iron Man movie, The Black Widow is  in fact a Russian superspy, accompanied by Whiplash, a character played by Mickey Rourke. Robert Downey Jr. will take up the role of “Iron Man” again.

From what it looks like, the outfit Scarlett will wear (below) certainly resembles a latex catsuit!

The Pussycat Dolls have used latex clothing on a number of occasions. One of the current Doll members, Kimberly Wyatt, is not entirely warming up to the material, so it seems. In an interview with Bang Media she claimed that the latex clothes were uncomfortable.  Since wearing them are “part of the territory” for a performance band like the sexy Dolls, she clearly has the entertainment value of her audience in mind. She said: “The show is really tough on our bodies – we sacrifice everything. We have to take care of ourselves and we do that to the best of our ability”. The constant pressure has lead to tension within the band before.

Lady Gaga has done some new shots for Fabulous Magazine and one of the photos is in black latex outfit.

We have reported about Lady Gaga wearing latex two times already (see here and here) and yet she strikes again in full latex force!

Pop singer Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta famously known as Lady Gaga is the latest cover girl of Fabulous Magazine shot by Derrick Santini and again one of the outfits in the feature is latex fashion: latex bra and super sexy shorts.

The former American song-writer who has written lyrics for Britney Spears and The Pussy Cat dolls is now in the limelight. In her interview she said that some people are born stars and she is one of them. She was born in a wealthy family and it looked like money would never be a problem for her. Regardless, at the age of 18 she chose to take on a job in a strip club in order to earn her own living.  She says she’s always felt confident about her body. We can sure see that from her pics!!

Isn’t she looking hot in this black latex outfit? I am curious what will be the next creation she comes up with.  Obviously Lady Gaga enjoys latex fashion.
