A unique collaboration of concertmaster Robert Waechter and fetish photographer Steve Diet Goedde gives fruit to an unconventional sexy project.

Robert Waechter, concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra/Opera de Nice, France teamed up with internationally renowned erotic photographer Steve Diet Goedde to release an audio/visual collaboration entitled GoeddeConcerto.

Robert Waechter took photos from Steve Diet Goedde, erotic photographer since the early 90′s who worked with models such as Dita Von Teese, Masuimi Max, Aria Giovanni, Justine Joli or Emily Marilyn just to name those few Fetish starlettes, that inspired him to composed 21 pieces of classical music. The CD contains a 24-page booklet of the photographs to accompany the music.

Two latex girls stopped by the Kodak booth at PMA09

As the Kodak chief blogger reported on Twitter during Photo Marketing Association in Las Vegas, which took place March 3-5 two latex girls appeared at Kodak booth. The reason for this short report is they both were wearing marvelous red latex catsuits and black latex gloves together with wigs and black sun glasses.

It’s not sure whether the girls were part of Kodak’s marketing but it’s sure they knew how to shine their latex very well.

The natural product that is latex can be found in a bigger number of objects than we’d think! There are of course the obvious examples, like condoms or the kitchen gloves used for doing the dishes. Gloves used in medical environments also represent a large market: up to ten billion latex gloves are used in the US alone each year!  Other examples are less obvious, like children’s toys, paint or bedding.

As we use latex in more products, more people are developing dangerous allergies to it. Reactions can range from an uneasy skin irritation and wheezing to a sudden drop in blood pressure, shock or even death. The American Academy of Family Physicians has now published a list of measures people with a latex allergy can take to avoid an allergic reaction:

• avoidance is key to preventing any allergic reaction
• if you know an item is made out of latex, perhaps you can find a suitable alternative
• the powder used in medical gloves can be dangerous, so avoid breathing in the dust
• when you receive medical assistance, ask for use of non-latex gloves
• if you are incapable of asking yourself (e.g. in an emergency situation) you can carry a medical passport or bracelet warning about your latex allergy
• if your latex allergy is  serious, you can ask your house doctor if you should carry an emergency epinephrine injection with you

ALTERNATIVES:

The use of natural alternative sources, replacing natural rubber, show promise. Most current latex alternatives are synthetic, derived from petroleum. With the uncertain oil price and resources, these synthetic products remain expensive. Recent discoveries make a return to natural products possible. One such product is Yulex, derived from a desert plant called guayule. Scientists say Yulex offers a new, natural rubber alternative without the proteins that trigger allergic reactions. Of course these products still need further research before large-scale manufacturing can take off, but they do show promise for an allergy free product. The range of applications overlap with those of natural rubber, so perhaps even the fashion and apparel industry can benefit from this in a foreseable future.

We all know condoms.  They cause interruption during sexual play. Rip open a pack, pick the condom out, “apply”. Never a perfect fit…  or so we thought!  Enters health teacher Jan Vinzenz Krause with the Jolly Joe condom!

The principle is simple: the user inserts his erected member into a plastic tube (left), that will then spray a thin layer of liquid latex from all directions. No wonder the inventor had a car-wash as inspiration! “I felt a little like MacGyver,” he comments on building the contraption. He continues about the numerous advantages to his spray-on condom: “The condom fits 100% perfectly, so the safety is much higher than a standard condom’s, and it feels more natural.” The latex used is in fact a mixture of pure latex and water, wich makes it break apart more easily after use.

The spray has now entered testing phase, and Jan Vinzenz already received some feedback on his invention. A few of the testers did not like having to stick their member in a tube. Others did not care for the noise the applier makes when spraying the latex. Most comments came from the 5 minute drying time, which seems an aweful long time in such a situation! A marketable solution would have to reduce that to a maximum of a few seconds.

Until the Jolly Joe gets applied faster, this product will probably remain a “hard” sell…
